The Property
Teviot Cottage is a beautiful, traditional, Northumberland stone built cottage dating from 1915. Inside, it has just undergone an extensive and high specification bespoke refurbishment, completed in July 2018. The relaxing and sophisticated Scandi-inspired interiors are the perfect compliment to the rustic exterior.
Downstairs, there’s a modern, light and airy open plan kitchen diner with a large skylight and floor to ceiling French door/windows. The living room has an elegant feature fireplace and comfy sofas, which look onto the beautiful front gardens.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a contemporary relaxed feel with a king size bed and luxury Egyptian cotton bedding. The unique second bedroom has bespoke, architect-designed cabin style bunk beds ideal for children or occasional guests.
The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with glass ceiling offering a truly relaxing experience.
Living room
The relaxing and tastefully decorated living room has a 3 seater sofa and spacious Bailey Snuggler armchair. There is a flatscreen smart TV with Netflix as well as Wi Fi.
Open plan Kitchen Diner
The fully fitted kitchen has a high specification, with NEFF electric oven and ceramic induction hob, Bosh microwave, AEG dish-washer, washing machine/dryer and fridge as well as ample cupboard space. There is also a cafetiere, toaster and DAB radio. All crockery, glassware, cookware etc. is provided and brand new.
Heating is provided by under floor heating system controlled via a digital display, which also provides you with the local weather forecasts.
The elegant solid oak circular dinning table seats 4 and is situated under a large velux window. There is an occasional sofa in the open plan living space, making it the perfect family room.
The utility cupboard under the stairs has an ironing board, iron, airing rack and vacuum cleaner as well as a storage rack for shoes.
Master bedroom
The tranquil décor creates a peaceful environment to match the quiet location. There’s a king sized bed with Egyptian cotton bedding and duvet, solid oak clothes rail, tallboy, full length mirror, hair dryer.
Guest bedroom
The guest bedroom has a bunk bed designed by the architect from CBBC's Dengineers and offers a unique experience for children or adult guests alike. There is also a tallboy and clothes rail for storage.
Bathroom
The contemporary bathroom has a powerful walk-in shower, vanity and fitted shelves. The shower runs off a combination boiler so no need to worry about running out of hot water. Bath and hand towels are also provided.
Garden
The front courtyard and garden area provides a perfect space to sit and relax, while the rear patio area is ideal for catching the last of the day’s sunshine.
Parking
Parking is on street and the cottage comes with a visitors’ parking permit. The nearest locations are on Main Street or Princes Street, which are only a 2 minute walk from The Orchard and Teviot Cottage.
